About me
Welcome! I’m Wanting Gao, a Ph.D. student in Electrical & Systems Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, working with Prof. Xudong Chen and Prof. Hong Hu.
My research brings together probability, random graph theory, statistical inference, and structural control theory. I am interested in understanding how structure emerges in large random networks, and how we can recover that structure from noisy observations.
I received my M.S. in Engineering Data Analytics & Statistics from Washington University in St. Louis in 2025. Previously, I earned a B.S. in Management, majoring in E-commerce, from Jinan University.
Graphons and cycle-cover properties of random graphs; convergence rates; and inference in noisy networks.
